Advanced Hair Removal

Over 15 million people in the UK suffer from unwanted hair issues, showing just how widespread these concerns are, with 98% of women and a significant proportion of men removing hair from a body area. Moreover, according to a survey * (by online retailer Makeup Box) 88% of women reported being conscious of facial hair. This often affects one’s self-esteem and confidence.

Methods, such as plucking, can worsen the problem by disrupting the natural hair growth cycle and lead to coarser regrowth. Medication and hormones can also play a part.

The only two permanent hair removal methods are Laser and Electrolysis.

  1. Laser Hair Removal: Best for darker pigmented hair; less effective on very light blonde, red, grey, or white hair.
  2. Electrolysis: Suitable for all hair colours and skin types.

Both Laser and Electrolysis are effective for removing superfluous hair. However, Electrolysis is the only proven permanent method of hair removal. Laser is attracted to pigment within hair; therefore, white hair is difficult to treat.

Laser Hair Removal (SHR)

Laser/SHR (Super Hair Removal) uses gradual heat and repeated light pulses, making it gentler and suitable for most skin types. It weakens hair at the root, leading to finer regrowth.
